John Zinner is one of the most talented and inventive representative of a new generation of lampwork glassblower. Originally he became a glassblower for Christmas tree ornaments and did learn by himself the handcrafts for creating massive lampwork blown figures. So he could come off the traditional and entrenched ideas and was able to generate new techniques.

With help of these techniques, innovativ and free of unnecessary conventions combined with an huge creative aptitude and an own design vocabulary, John gives birth to figures made of glass which got admirers in-country and abroad. The participation in different exhibitions, the purchases of several objects by museums and the invitation for being a lecturer at the Glass and Ceramic School on Bornholm (Denmark) are testifying for the quality of his work.
